Travel Planning Services

Why should you use a travel agent?

I didn't set out to be a travel planner. Growing up, my family traveled to Disney World once every few years. We've always been a Disney-loving family – movies, parks, TV shows, characters, the works. In college, when I would babysit my younger cousins I would CRUSH them at Disney trivia games. I know you're supposed to let kids win once in a while, but let's face it – those kids didn't stand a chance! (Hi Chris and Nick!) Cut to 2013. I was planning my first WDW excursion on my own. Even as familiar as I was with the park, there were so many details and nuances to take into consideration. I was lucky to have the guidance of my mom's travel agent cousin (hi Donna). Donna took me through every aspect of planning and made the process so smooth and seamless. I had a strong handle on what I wanted to do and see, she just helped me to connect the dots so to speak. Once my trip was booked, Donna suggested I look into becoming a travel consultant, and the rest as they say is history! I'm a proud affiliate of Academy Travel Inc and and I'm so grateful for the opportunity to plan magical trips for my clients!

Now that you have a little bit of my back story, let's get back to the matter at hand. In today's internet age, there is so much information out there and so many travel sites available to choose from. Why would you use a travel agent if you could just do it yourself? It's a question I get asked a lot, so let me give you my take on it. My concierge services are 100% free! It's true! I may not have any control over the prices or promotions available, but I do everything in my power to help save you money for your trip. Let's say you book a Disney Cruise with me and a few months later, a promotion is released for the week of your sailing. Good news! I can have that discount applied to your existing reservation!! If you had booked yourself through Priceline or Costco, you'd be out of luck. Another perk of booking your vacation with me, be it a Disney Destination or the Rest of the World, you're allowing someone else to stress over the details so that you can truly enjoy the trip. We'll talk about what kinds of experiences you're interested in, what type of dining you'd enjoy, and so on. Then when the time comes, let me secure those reservations for you! This is particularly nice when planning a Walt Disney World vacation, as dining reservations for many popular restaurants open 180 days in advance! Want to pay for your vacation over a period of time (weekly, monthly, etc.)? I'm happy to work with you to pay off your trip at your own pace, an option not available via travel sites like Expedia or Kayak.

What if Disney isn't your thing? I feel very strongly that Disney truly has something for everyone, but I understand there are still people who prefer to vacation elsewhere. Good news – I can help with you navigate the “Rest of the World” as well! Looking for an all-inclusive resort for your honeymoon? Or how about a villa in the Caribbean for a tropical getaway with friends? I've got you covered! I've only just recently caught the travel bug myself, but my list is growing almost daily. If you have a travel goal in mind, I'd be honored to help you achieve it. All it takes is a simple email to get started. What have you got to lose?
